We had so much fun over the weekend when the The Rotary Club of Barbados West paid Walkers Reserve a visit and planted 25 coconut trees alongside our team and some special guests! They planted coconut trees which assist in conserving the environment as they reduce soil erosion by stabilising soils through their expansive root systems which can spread to more than 30 feet.
Having the motto “Service above Self”, the members of the Rotary, have worked to support our community in education, health, disaster response and protecting the environment for the past 46 years.
We are truly appreciative of their contribution to our reforestation programme and we look forward to continuing to make a positive impact together!
