WIRRED and the Caribbean Permaculture Research Institute (CPRI) teamed up with Coco Hill Forest on October 24th 2020, United Nations Day, for a fun-filled composting workshop and tree planting activity at the forest! n.
Coco Hill Forest is an agroforestry project growing tropical fruits, herbs, spices and medicinal plants. Like WIRRED and CPRI, Coco Hill is committed to supporting the One Tree for Every Bajan Program.
Composting helps to reduce landfill waste, toxic gas emission, the usage of chemical fertilizers, and encourage plant growth. The activities of the workshop paired perfectly, and we can’t wait to for these plants to grow and blossom!
