In November 2020, the Vauxhall Primary Cub Scouts engaged in an informative and exciting composting workshop and tree planting activity as part of WIRRED’s grant from the Cable & Wireless Foundation. The students learnt about composting and its importance, and afterwards participated in a tree planting activity. They successfully planted eight (8) trees which included Jamaican Ackee, Bajan Ackee, Sea Grapes and Mango.
These trees will provide a source of food and nutrients as well as shade for students and staff!
