On Saturday, 27th August we hosted a tree planting during our Walkers Reserve Eco Market. This was a joint collaboration with our friends at the Caribbean Protected Areas Gateway (CPAG). This activity was done to honour World Coconut Day, which is celebrated on September 2nd.
We planted 43 trees with 16 enthusiastic volunteers of all ages. Parents joined with their kids and learnt about the value of trees and planting techniques.
With every passing tree planting we get closer to our goal of planting 285,000 trees for every Bajan. Seeing so many people come to the Reserve to plant with us is absolutely inspiring and we look forward to reaching our goal!
